Bravo TV | Close, But No Cigar
I’m a fan of Top Chef. And as anyone who reads my blog knows, I don’t subscribe to cable. So what does a cable-free Top Chef fan do? I watch on Hulu.
Usually, the day after the show airs, I go to Hulu and watch the latest episode. Unless of course it’s not there. Apparently, Bravo won’t post Episode 6. Why? Here’s what it says on Hulu:
During the month of July, Hulu expects to offer episodes 3, 4, and 5 of Season 7.These 3 episodes will be available through July 31. Hulu can offer a select number of full length episodes from Bravo’s lineup each calendar month. The episodes featured and when they are posted are at Bravo’s discretion.
So last night, instead of watching Top Chef on Hulu (along with the ads that help Bravo’s bottom line), I decided to go to a third party site to watch an unauthorized stream.
Note to Bravo: It’s really great that you syndicate a lot of your content to Hulu. I really appreciate it. But arbitrarily posting some episodes while excluding others is just a bad idea.
So please, make up your mind, are you embracing online streaming or not?
